THE ROLE: Trusted Compute Research-engineer

Since two years, iExec has established itself as a leading solution provider at the crossroad of blockchain and confidential computing. We have developed the first practical solution that allows end-to-end privacy preserving off-chain computing. Furthermore, the iExec company participates in the specification and the implementation of the Off-chain Trusted Environment Execution (TEE) whose objective is to ensure security and confidentiality of the use of the decentralized cloud. We are members of the Confidential Computing Consortium and we collaborate with leading companies in this field (Intel, Microsoft, IBM Cloud, ... ) as well as innovative startups (Scone, Fortanix, …)

• Conduct cutting edge R&D within the security team at the crossroad of trusted compute and blockchain
• Interact with the development team to understand requirements, implement and present results.
• Transfer research result in the iExec technology stack and products
• Be a thought researcher and technology evangelist and collaborate with the marketing team to promote our solution.
• Lead scientific and industrial partnership and present your results during conferences

Requirements

Must have proven contributions in one or several of the following topics:

• Blockchain / distributed ledger.
• Trusted Execution Environment (Intel SGX, Arm trustzone, AMD SEV)
• Hardware based cryptography.
• Applied cryptography : rsa/dsa, pgp, PKI, zk proofs, MPC, …
• Authentication/authorization framework (X509, Oauth, openID, SAML,…),
• SELinux, containers (lxc, rkt, docker), isolation and sandboxing,

Skills & Qualification:

• Programming experience in Linux (system level) / Java is highly preferred. Python, Go is good as well.
• Must have a strong desire to aggressively learn and seek out new relevant technologies
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technology solutions
• Team work with agile methodology
• Very good written as well as verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
• Doctorate degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or proven innovation records.
